BACKGROUND

Lagunas is a Denver-based specialty coffee roaster importing single-origin coffee. From the beginning, the owners of Lagunas have had a lifelong passion for coffee, community, and charity, with a desire to offer the highest standard coffee beans roasted to perfection. Bluebird helped build the Lagunas brand through brand strategy, logo design and package design. The goal was to create world-class coffee in, and for, the local community. Whether it’s retail coffee shop locations, cafes, restaurants, or private homes via subscription, Lagunas wants to be the best roaster in town.

The new Lagunas logo captures Costa Rica’s untamed beauty, where volcanic soil and ocean breezes create the perfect coffee-growing haven. At its heart, a crowned hummingbird—a symbol of mastery and prestige—hovers above, reflecting the meticulous craft in every bean. With over 50 species of hummingbirds, Costa Rica’s vibrant energy flows through every sip of Lagunas Coffee. Below, a mighty volcano represents the fertile soil fueling our bold flavors, while an ocean wave symbolizes the coastal harmony that ensures a smooth finish. Lagunas Coffee isn’t just brewed—it’s crafted by nature, perfected by tradition.
