For more than 50 years, Shinn Group has been a trusted partner to home builders, helping them sharpen profitability and performance through proven systems and strategic guidance. As the next generation of leadership stepped in to carry the company forward, a clear opportunity emerged: evolve the brand while honoring the strong foundation its founders built.

The existing identity no longer reflected the caliber of what Shinn Group delivers. Messaging had grown inconsistent, and the visual identity felt scattered. As the organization sharpened its focus on serving mid-tier home builders with a first-class experience, the brand needed to match that ambition by communicating clarity, confidence, and genuine industry leadership.

The Challenge

Shinn Group’s offerings had grown into a robust ecosystem, but the brand architecture didn’t clearly express that value. Multiple programs existed without cohesion, making it difficult for builders to grasp the full breadth of support available to them. The brand needed to unify its story, elevate its presence, and close the gap between perception and the high-quality experience Shinn Group actually delivers.

The Solution

Bluebird partnered with Shinn Group to refine its strategic positioning and evolve its identity into a more cohesive, modern system, anchored by a clear, focused message rooted in what Shinn has always done best: helping builders run better businesses.

From there, a unified family of brands was developed, each designed to support builders at a different stage of their journey:

  • Shinn Builder Partnerships — a rebates program built to improve profitability and strengthen vendor relationships
  • Home Builder University (HBU) — an online learning platform equipping builders with the tools and knowledge to scale
  • Builder of Choice™ Insights — a podcast featuring industry leaders sharing perspective, experience, and practical wisdom

To bring the system together visually, Bluebird introduced a shared element across all four brands: a directional arrow. More than a graphic device, the arrow reflects a core truth of the Shinn offering. It represents their role as a trusted guide. Like a compass for home builders, it reinforces clarity, direction, and forward momentum, uniting each sub-brand under a single, coherent purpose.

The visual identity was modernized to match: cleaner, more confident, and better aligned with the premium nature of the work. The result honors Shinn Group’s legacy while clearly signaling where they’re headed.

The Outcome

The evolved brand positions Shinn Group for continued growth, helping them connect with a new generation of builders while deepening relationships with existing partners. With a clear message and a unified brand system, Shinn Group now communicates the full value of what they offer, backed by half a century of expertise and built for what’s next.
